What are those Mormons all about?
Thursday 25, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.The Nativity Center, St. Martin de Porres Parish, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie
They've been our neighbors on Spackenkill Road for many years, and they prefer to be called “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.” But what are they all about? What are the origins of this uniquely American religion? What do they believe? What are some of their customs?
The Ecumenical Committee of St. Martin's invites you to come and find the answers to those questions and more. The presenters will be Scott Ey and Bruce Hawks, past Stake Presidents who oversaw eight congregations in the Hudson Valley, including the one on Spackenkill Road.
Refreshments and conversation will follow the presentation. All are welcome.
